Welcome to K12Genie.com!

K12Genie provides families with school-aged children with tools they need to improve and strengthen family relationships and encourage personal development. We provide free access to informative articles, fun activities, recipes, an online brag wall, and local resources. We work with partners to produce workshops for schools and communities that foster positive interactions between siblings and between generations.

Our goal is to empower kids, parents, and teachers and their immediate and extended families by integrating the internet, multi-media, and social networking into the way they teach, learn, and relate to one another, enabling them to improve relationships in the home, classroom, and in social settings.

K12Genie.com is owned and operated by K12Genie, Inc. The company was incorporated in December 2008 and is based in New York City. You may contact us at info@k12genie.com.

The Founder
Fernando DeGuia is Founder and CEO of K12Genie, Inc. His work experience includes teaching in the New York City public school system as a Teach for America corps member, working as an assistant to the Deputy Mayor in the NYC Mayor’s Office,  working as a manager in the Counsel’s office at the NYC Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications, and as a manager in the government sales offices of Verizon Business.  His interests include education, business, art, culture, and the outdoors. He has a B.S. in Anthropology and Sociology from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA,  and an M.S. in Urban Planning from Columbia University in New York City. He is a certified city planner.
